Looking for Answers

For those of you who were looking for answers from Bush and didn't hear any, that's because he didn't give any. If you don't believe me - read for yourself.

Stop the Mad Cowboy Disease

This is a short poem made up entirely of actual
quotations from George W. Bush. These have been
arranged, only for aesthetic purposes, by Washington
Post writer, Richard Thompson. A wonderful
Haiku poem like this is too good not to share.

MAKE THE PIE HIGHER

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
And potential mental losses.

Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet
Become more few?

How many hands have I shaked?
They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.

I know that the human being
And the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope,
Where our wings take dream.

Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher!
Make the pie higher!

Travel Photography

Megan Forbes site led me to this - - Travel Photography online magazine.

Makes me want to pack my bags right now.

Holidays

Happy Holidays! I hope to do better with updates and more photos in 2004. It's just been one of those busy falls I suppose.

What war in Iraq costs.

Political Compas

I took this test and ended up between the Dali Lama and Nelson Mandela. I'm happy to say I'm not near SOME people on the chart.

Compare

I will have to perform this test myself. Megan took 2 identical photos, one with a sony digital camera and one using Fuji Velvia. I think I prefer the velvia.

A Hummer of A Deal

It always cracks me up when I see people driving Hummers. Actually, I get a good laugh when I see people behind the wheel of behemoth SUVs dropping their kids off to school. Ok - maybe they took the off- road jungle route, but I doubt it.

I drive an SUV, but I have pulled a boat, carried lumber, bricks, etc. so my truck as I refer to it hardly qualifies as a luxury SUV. A New York Times Editorial provides an explanation as to why some people may be running to road hog SUVs.

Really, what does one do with a Hummer in New Orleans.

She calls her site Life-Poetry in Motion. Check it out for yourself. Her long exposure shots are nice.
